Founded in 2001 by acclaimed musicians Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Acony Records was created to ensure the musicians could maintain artistic independence and creative control over their musical output. Since its first release of Welch and Rawlings' landmark third album Time (The Revelator), Acony Records' mission statement is to work to make the highest quality records possible and enhance the music with unique and thoughtfully crafted products for fans to enjoy.
